Director Scoala doctorala – facultatea Automatica si Calculatoare (2010-2012). Manager de proiect la peste 30 de proiecte de cercetare nationale si internationale. Specializare in aplicatii interdisciplinare ale analizei fractale.
Autor si coautor a peste 250 de articole (din care peste 80 in reviste), peste 50 rapoarte de cercetare, 6 manuale, 40 tratate, monografii sau capitole de carti, 6 brevete de inventii
