Conf. dr.ing. Silvia Oana ANTON a absolvit Facultatea de Automatica specializarea Automatica si Informatica Industriala in 2003, iar titlul de doctor in domeniul Automatica i-a fost acordat in anul 2008 de catre Universitatea Politehnica din Bucuresti, Facultatea de Automatica si Calculatoare. In 2003 a urmat studiile facultatii ENSIAME, „Université de Valenciennes et du Hainaut-Cambrésis (UVHC)”. Din 2003 a ocupat functia de inginer la Universitatea Politehnica din Bucuresti, Facultatea de Automatica si Calculatoare unde sustine ore de curs si aplicatii de laborator pentru: Sisteme de Conducere a Fabricatiei, Proiectarea Dispozitivelor Numerice, Sisteme si Echipamente pentru Conducerea Robotilor Industriali. Director stiintific pentru doua granturi national de cercetare si membru in echipa de executie a peste 16 proiecte stiintifice de C&D nationale. Autor si coautor a peste 60 de lucrari stiintifice in domeniul roboticii, vederii artificiale, sisteme distribuite, inalta disponibilitate, sisteme tolerante la defect si disaster recovery publicate in monografii nationale si internationale, jurnale si proceeding-uri la conferinte.
